THIS LISTING IS FOR A CUSTOM MADE CORSET, EITHER IN PLAIN WHITE DUCK OR FOR A FANCIER EVENING CORSET. OPT FOR A WHITE COTTON DUCK ON THE INSIDE AND A COLORED FAILLE OR MOIRE FOR THE OUTSIDE. PLEASE SPECIFY COLOR AT THE TIME OF ORDERING. We will need the following measurements. Waist, Bust, Back Waist (from nape of neck where your bodice neckline would be to correct natural waist), and modern bra and cup size. Corsets should have a 2-4″ gap at the back, to allow you to be pulled in at least 2″. The CORSET will be made using the Civil War Era pattern by Past Patterns Pattern Company. We use sturdy hook and eye tape up the front for ease of getting into corset. We use metal or brass grommets up the back and supply one corset lace. You may find you need more than one lace if your proportions are a little different example… Larger hips, small bust etc. Once you get the lacing adjusted to a perfect fit, you should not need to ever re-tie the corset, enabling you to get into it each time with just simply fastening the hooks and eyes up the front. Corset has steel boning in casings, bias tape at the hem, and a decorative trim on the fancier, colored corsets. White corsets will remain plain.
