The card is a valuable historic document of American Freemasonry. Often considered the most important historical Secret Society, this work opens ones eyes to the great spirituality and profound morality of the Masonic order. This is the “Freemason’s Monitor with the Masonic Degrees, Lodge, Chapter, Council and Commandery”:! Not to be confused with the later Standard Monitor and Guide which lacks significant parts of the content of this historic publication with its many fabulous symbolic illustrations to study and understand. These icons alone give the book great value. There is much mystery here. It should be of interest to any Mason or student of Freemasonry with a desire to study Masonic culture and history of years past. It has classic gilded edge pages and is in very good vintage condition with only some normal expected minor age wear a few notations on empty front and back pages. Leather has scuffs with routine overall age wear, but is complete with overlapping flap. This is from the 1860’s and certainly isn’t mint, but no serious problems. Please understand that it is impossible to check each and every page in a 400+ pages book. Most pages look fine. Small in size, but great in value, the book measures approximately 4 ¾ x 3 ½ inches.
