Authentic Civil War style size 14 girl’s yoked bodice dress. Chest 32″ waist 27″. This is a simple dress, meant to be worn by girls from the age of 5 or 6 up until they graduate to adult clothing. It is meant to be worn as daily wear, although it can be dressed up with a ribbon, fancy apron, Medici belt etc. For church or party wear. 100% cotton in a period correct narrow stripe in sage green and lighter green. I had a problem catching the color, the last picture is closest to the actual shade on my screen. It buttons down the back with round antique glass buttons with a raised 4-petal flower design in a cream colored shade.. The jewel neckline and arms eyes are edged with narrow period correct piping. The long bishop style sleeves have button cuffs. It has a narrow 1 hem. The hemline is straight so the length of the skirt can easily be shortened with a deeper hem or growth tucks. The gathered skirt is 134, wide enough for a girl’s hoop skirt or corded petticoat. The first two pictures show the dress over a corded petticoat. The dress can be machine washed.
